When your Lovesac arrives at your door, the package will contain reusable duffel bag with a cover and a “naked insert” – which is a compressed bag of Durafoam.  The easiest way to put it together is to unwrap your cover and spread it out on the floor.  Take the plastic bag off of the insert and let it breathe for about an hour.

After your insert has sat for an hour you can begin to break up the Durafoam. Start from the outside and break off chunks through the cover. As you are doing this you should be flipping your insert over several times. After you have broken the Durafoam up into manageable pieces, go back and break these pieces down further. Massage the pieces as you fet them down to about two inches in diameter. Wait 24 hours before putting your insert inside the cover.

Now comes the fun part, put the insert into your LoveSac cover and go to town! Sit in it, jump on it, and literally toss your sac around the room.  The more sit and flip your LoveSac the comfier it will become as the Durafoam continues to expand.

Keep in mind that it does take a couple days for the Durafoam to fully expand.  During this time you should be constantly fluffing your sac so that it gets a soft and even consistency.

As times goes on you will want to repeat this process every week or two.  Not only does this prevent “dead spots” from building, but it also keeps your Lovesac looking and feeling new.  One of the amazing features of Durafoam is its ability to bounce back to its original size.  It just takes a little work on your part to promote the process.

Most LoveSac covers are designed to be machine washable (check the tags for custom covers).  It is recommended that you wash them separately in cold water on a delicate cycle.  For drying, the manufacturer recommends line drying. If this is not possible because of weather, try the delicate setting on your dryer and rotate the sac every 15 minutes to ensure a complete dry.

If you spill or stain your LoveSac insert (beneath the cloth cover), you will have to clean it by hand.  Use a spot carpet or laundry stain solution to gently treat the affected area.  Allow to air-dry completely before replacing the cover.

For pet or stain odors, try using a fabric freshener such as Febreeze.  Always test the chemical in a inconspicuous spot before treating the entire sac.  If climate allows, let your LoveSac air out in an outdoor environment for 6 to 12 hours.  This should eliminate most odor instances.

LoveSacs are the newest wave in modern furniture.  One part bean bag, one part lounge chair – these Sacs are the most fun you will ever have sitting on your butt!

A LoveSac is basically a giant fabric covered bag that is filled with shredded Durafoam, which is then covered with a removable, washable, cover that is available in many different styles and colors.

LoveSacs are shrunk to 1/16 their original full size and shipped inside of a collectible brown nylon duffel bag.  Your Insert comes packed shrunken down inside of a box or collectible brown nylon duffel bag (depending on model).

Once you remove your Sac from the packaging, you can begin the fluffing process to expand your LoveSac.  This is done by griping the compressed Durafoam and breaking apart big chunks of it within.  Continue to flip and turn your Insert over and over. After you break the Durafoam into big chunks, start kneading those big chunks into smaller chunks. If you massage them as you break them apart, they will break apart faster. Keep turning the Insert over and over as you do this.

The end result of this process is a popcorn-like consistency within the Khaki fabric Sac Insert.  Over a few days the foam fills with air and achieves maximum fluffiness faster. It may take 1-15 days for the Durafoam™ within to recover completely from its shrunken state.  During this time you can sit, flip, flop, bounce on and turn your LoveSac. The more you do, the better it gets.
